Lindsay Lohan’s been equated to former film goddesses before, but never all of them at the same time…
It’s been a solid week of shooting on LiLo’s new movie The Canyons and, so far, the film’s director Paul Schrader is quite pleased with her job performance.
According to a post on Schrader’s Facebook page, Lindsay is getting it done on set.
“Seven days in, first full week completed. Lindsay Lohan is a huge fan of Hollywood glamour and performances from the Golden Era,” the director wrote. “Working with her every day on varied scenes I've been making a mental checklist of classic movie performances she's touched upon.”
Schrader kept the delusion going by equating Lindsay to the likes of Ann Margret, Gena Rowlands, Fay Dunaway, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth…
I’ll wait while you finish laughing that one off… Oh wait, there’s more.
…Angie Dickinson, Lee Remick, and Shelley Winters.
Now, I’m all for giving Lindsay the benefit of the doubt here. Despite what haters may say, she does have a great deal of talent in her arsenal. Still, Schrader has created some serious shoes to fill with his quote.
Assuming that she has, in fact, tapped into all the aforementioned names, this is shaping up to be the film of the century.
Others insight into the production seems to back the cult director’s claim. Previous statements from the film’s writer Bret Easton Ellis and producer Braxton Pope praised the redhead.
“Lindsay is an actor that has the native ability and charisma that makes her compelling,” Braxton said.
We can't wait to see Lindsay's stellar performance. The Canyons is expected to be released in 2013.
