Lindsay Lohan is being forced to stay sober right now, since she has to undergo random drug testing. But once that ends, can she stay on the straight and narrow?
According to the actress’ friends, maybe not. A source close to Lohan tells People that it wouldn’t be far fetched if Lindsay slipped back into her old ways.
"Lindsay says she's determined to stay sober and focus on work," says the source. "[But] it's too soon to tell what will happen. We've seen these moments of 'purity' before, but as soon as she gets a taste of the nightlife and the drama, she usually falls back into old habits fast."
Another friend said Lindsay hates staying home and doing nothing. The source said she "doesn't like staying put and she doesn't like being bored. She needs to be constantly stimulated; it's not uncommon for her to be up texting from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. The people in her life are on a constant roller coaster."
Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley insists Lindsay is very serious about staying sober, but her friends think it’ll be hard to keep it that way forever.
"Deep down, I think she knows she's in crisis," says the second source. "But she continues to make bad decisions. She still thinks she can get away with anything, get out of anything, make excuses."
That’s Lindsay for ya! Hopefully this outpatient rehab system will continue for a long time so that there’s less of a chance of her relapsing.
