Lindsay's Bodyguard Tells All

August 09, 2007

We all know Lindsay Lohan is in a precarious situation, but who's to blame for her troubles? Her bodyguard of three years Tony Almeida is talking and he’s blaming Michael and Dina Lohan for not providing a structure for the starlet. He claims Lindsay’s parents were anything but normal with their wild and abusive lifestyle which Lindsay financially supported.

Almeida reveals to In Touch, "From a young age, she dealt with her father's physical, emotional and drug abuses as well as her mother's drinking." Tony reveals one incident where Michael threw Lindsay against the cars hood and called her a slut. Not to mention the constant pressure Lindsay had from her mother to make some cash in order to pay the bills. Lindsay was a "cash cow" working non stop and got away with doing anything as long as the bills were paid.

Tony believes Dina was desperate to become a star herself and as Lindsay's 'manager' received 10 percent of her income. Both parents would look the other way as Lindsay began a life of partying, boys, drugs and booze.

When she was 15, they allowed her to share a room with her then-14-year-old boyfriend, Aaron Carter, at Loews in Miami Beach. Almeida states, "They knew Lindsay was sleeping in Aaron's room. But they seemed happy she had chosen somebody who could benefit her singing career."

By age 18, Lindsay had moved on to harder substances. Almeida recalls walking in on her and another celebrity in a closet at a club one night as they sniffed white powder. The ex-bodyguard also claims Lindsay cried out for help for years by cutting herself and threatening suicide.

By reading this story, we get another side to Lindsay Lohan and really sympathize with her pain. Do you feel like Lindsay's parents are to blame for the mess she has now become?

Her parents are at fault, but so is she. She needs to take responsibility for her own actions, she's older now and has more control of her life (legally). I do sort of feel sorry for her though. ):

No! There's pain, violence, hatred, poverty, and war that goes on-on a daily basis. That numerous victims, mainly children aren't even given an opportunity to see tomorrow and yet we have someone who is clearly talented and choses to do nothing but complain. It feels good helping others, Lindsay should give it a try and vent her frustration a worthy outlet. Remember, there's always someone out there who is going through something 10times worse than you! Be grateful that you are enough!

It certainly seems her life as a child had incredible pressure, and I had heard before about her cutting herself. As a child, she obviously had no choices. However, she certainly has choices now. Dina has been pegged probably from day one as wanting to be Lindsay and living through her. Lindsay needs to clean up (talk to former kid stars who had problems, like Danny Bonaduce, Robert Downey Jr. and of course, Drew Barrymore)and then try to protect her youngest siblings from a fate that certainly awaits them as long as Dina is "controlling" their lives. It really is so sad to see a young life so wasted and even sadder still to see parents exploit their young for whatever reason.

Miss Thang...I took me like a minute to think back, but I remember that she did wear them, but I would never thought that she had cuts on her wrists. She was doing a lot of sports stuff then so I thought she was trying to make it a fashion trend. It's sad if that's true about her.

I feel her parents are lousy and have never given lindsey any structure or morals. So she has grown up to be the flunker that she is. Bowever, she is her own person and she is an adult. Its not her parents fault that she makes the choices that she makes. I feel its a copout to only blame her parents because theres so many bad parents out there and sometimes there kids turn out alright. But then look at britney.... her parents have been wonderful to her and look at what a crazy bitch slut she has become!

I agree with Miss Thang. It's got to be hard enough growing up in that business with all the pressures that come with it, but to not have your own family to be able to lean back on for support when you actually need it is ridiculous.

I was thinking that the cutting herself was a little over the top, and if it was true you would see the cuts all over her wrists, but now that I think about it she use to wear sweat bands on her wrists. So maybe it was not that far fetch.

Yes. But most people aren't raised great, and they turn out to be wonderful adults. She is now an adult and maybe should cut from her family and concentrate on trying to fix her career, but I think it's too late for that too. It also seems that they are now having Ali in the spot light, cause I think they know that Lindsay is now done in Hollywood. The whole thing is sad.
