A couple years ago,
Lindsay Lohan was on top, and we’d never even heard of a guy named
Seth Rogen. Man, how times have changed since then.
Seth is pretty much unstoppable on the comedy scene, and Lindsay has reverted to, well, selling sunless tanners in a bottle. The industry can be so cruel!
But in an interview with
Nylon, Lindsay ensures that her head is in the right place. She tells the mag that she’s currently trying to put together a project with Seth, but to no avail. She says, “We’re trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won’t call us back. So call us back, Seth, if you’re reading this!” Here are more highlights from the interview:
Lindsay on being unemployed: "It's scary when you realize, 'Oh my God, I'm not working. And have a house to pay for now.'"
Lindsay on working with Sean Penn: "I'm talking to a lot of people right now," she says. "One is Sean Penn – I spoke to him again the other day. We're trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won't call us back. So call us back, Seth, if you're reading this!"
Lindsay on having her picture taken: “I love doing photo shoots… I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I’d do that… because that’s fun for me. That’s not work.”
Lindsay on her one Mean Girls reference: “There’s not much I can do about the fact that I’ve become a kind of tabloid obsession. I can’t change that. And yes, the websites, the gossip pages, and all of that stuff have hurt my career – they’re like the Burn Books of Hollywood… but I really don’t feel like I should have to prove myself to anyone because of living out my college years in the public eye. I’m glad everything happened the way it did.”
Lindsay on Britney Spears: “She’s marketed as an entertainer, which is what she is. Not necessarily as, like, an artist. And I respect that about her, cause she doesn’t want to pretend.”
Lindsay on blogging about her relationship with Samantha Ronson: "I think I just got carried away," the actress tells the magazine. "Like writing about my relationships. I didn't need to do that, because we weren't broken up and that was silly."
