Lindsay Lohan The Thief?

Warning: The story below might seem like a scene from the movie “Mean Girls”. There are rumors circulating on the net that Lindsay Lohan went on a shopping spree at model Lauren Hastings house. Only one problem, Hastings wasn’t home and didn’t give Lohan permission to take $10,000 dollars worth of stuff including clothes, shoes, bags.

"Lindsay stole $10,000 worth of clothes and accessories from one of her former friends, Lauren Hastings, and has absolutely no shame about it. In fact, she even laughed about it with her girlfriends, among them Nicole Richie and DJ Samantha Ronson."

According to Star Magazine, on April 15, Lindsay went to Lauren's house in LA, while Hastings was at a shoot in Texas. A friend who was staying at the house let her in because Lindsay claimed to have left some of her clothes at the house. Once in she took 10K worth of stuff and bounced.

Note that Lohan and Hastings used to be good friends and their friendship had recently turned sour. Maybe this was just a prank she played? Who knows with these people…

"The mutual friend saw Lindsay leaving with everything, but she just didn't think that Lindsay would actually be lying about the clothes and steal their friend's things! At the time, she was under the impression that Lindsay and Lauren were still friends! That is, until Lauren came home the following day and flipped out. She started yelling, 'Where are all of my clothes? Where are my things?'"

Once Hastings got back and realized her stuff was missing she text Lindsay to return her things. Then the text message war between the two ex-bff’s began.

"Lauren sent Lindsay a text message threatening to go to the police and press charges," a source said.

"Lindsay just told her she was delusional and claimed Lauren didn't know what she was talking about. She insisted the items weren't stolen because they did belong to her. Then she'd laughed to her friends about it. She thought the whole thing was hysterical," a source said.

Lindsay's rep, Leslie Sloane calls the report "totally untrue."
