Lindsay Lohan, an alleged jewel thief?
Perhaps she was inspired by Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman performance in The Dark Knight Rises, because LiLo is being interviewed about a burglary. According to reports, however, the actress is not being considered as a suspect.
According to TMZ, LiLo was questioned by authorities about some expensive jewelry that mysteriously went missing at a house she was staying at in the Hollywood Hills. When guests woke up on Monday morning, the owner of the home claimed that the jewelry had been stolen.
Talk about a party foul…
Police visited the home on Monday when they were called in.
Law Enforcement sources say that everyone staying at the home was interviewed as part of procedure. Sources tell TMZ that Lindsay was staying at the house on Sunday night after a small get together…
X17 reports that it was quite a scene, though, and that authorities spent three hours at the home investigating possible gun use on the property. According to the source, the home is owned by a major Hollywood player who "always opens his homes to parties as long as he can get A-listers to come and bring their friends."
You may recall a number of previous incidents where LiLo was accused of lifting items with her sticky fingers, including a $2,500 necklace from El Ray… But don’t go pointing the finger just yet…
According to TMZ, Lindsay was nothing but cooperative with authorizes, telling them she knew nothing about the missing valuables.
The investigation is still ongoing, but Lindsay is reportedly not a suspect.
When contacted by Hollyscoop, Lindsay rep stated "we're not commenting on this right now."
In addition to not stealing things, Lindsay is hard at work, crawling back to the top of the food chain.
She recently wrapped production on her highly-publicized role as Liz Taylor in the TV biopic Liz & Dick, and is currently filming for the new sex thriller The Canyons. Additionally, she is considering a part in Scary Movie 5.
All aboard the LiLo comeback train!
