Lindsay Lohan Loses Yet Another Role

Lindsay Lohan’s career has gotten so bad, she can’t even be in a movie about strippers. At this point, if they did a movie about a party girl who allegedly stole a necklace and had to be under house arrest, I’m still not sure she would get it.

Lohan almost landed a part in Magic Mike, a movie chronicling the lives of male strippers. Lindsay would’ve played the girlfriend of Alex Pettyfer’s character in the movie, and a source said “the character is trouble with a capital T, which Lindsay would have been perfect for.”

The only problem is, director Steven Soderbergh didn’t want her in the flick. He gave the role to Riley Keough, Elvis’ granddaughter and Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter.

A source tells E!, “[Soderberg] didn’t want to deal with all that. Nobody wanted to go there.”

And by “there” I guess they mean anywhere near Lindsay Lohan and her drama. Lohan is also rumored to recently be dropped from the upcoming Gotti biopic. She was in and out of the project, but it doesn't sound hopeful. While they’re technically still “in talks”, Lohan’s rep says:

"The producers of the film and Lindsay's representation have not yet worked out an agreement for her to appear in the movie."

Back in 2010, Lohan was all set to be in the Deep Throat biopic. In case you haven’t taken a film studies class in which you were forced to watch this movie as you awkwardly sat next to your professor, Deep Throat a porno. Not that the title is very ambiguous.

Lohan was going to play Linda Lovelace, who starred in the movie. But in November, director Matthew Wilder said they planned on moving on without her.

“We are withdrawing out offer from Lindsay Lohan. We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard.”

Lohan reportedly lost the role because of her extended stay in rehab.

“We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support. Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her -- and some other issues -- have made it impossible for us to go forward."

Since Lohan was cut from the role, Malin Akerman is now going to star in the biopic. Anna Faris had spent some time attached to the movie, before Lohan took over, and now it's all Akerman's.
