Lindsay Lohan Gets Cast in New Movie

Lindsay Lohan has landed herself another job! Variety reports that Linds has been cast in the feature-length adaptation of Machete.

You may think the cast listing is a joke, but it’s not! Here’s the roster: Robert De Niro, Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, and Jeff Fahey. Talk about random!

Last week, director Robert Rodriguez talked about Lindsay, saying he hoped she would sign on for the film. He told reporters at Comic Con, "Lindsay's cool. There's actually a cool part in the movie for her — if she takes it."

Looks like she did, which isn’t a surprise given her lack of other options. The film is about a Mexican immigrant nicknamed Machete (Danny Trejo) who is hired to assassinate a U.S. senator, only to be double-crossed and nearly kill himself. Machete seeks revenge on his enemies by kidnapping the senator's family and killing anyone who gets in his way.

We never thought we’d see Lindsay’s career come to this, but she seems to be excited about it, writing on her Twitter, "Something was made official today!!!!!!!!!"
