Hosting Saturday Night Live is a sure sign that people still care about you and that you are currently very relevant. Or in Lindsay Lohan’s case, that you begged really nicely and probably bought Lorne Michael’s a rolex.
According to TMZ, Lindsay is “dying” to host Saturday Night Live again, hoping that it will “kickstart” her comeback.
So Lindsay reached out to SNL head-honcho Lorne Michaels herself and asked if she could host the show. Does Lindsay not even have an agent anymore? She had to ask for herself? Remember when Lindsay was “in demand?” Remember when she made brilliant films like… “Freaky Friday,” “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen,” “Herbie Fully Loaded” and ok, these movies did suck.
So anyways, Lindsay has hosted SNL back in 2004, 2005, and 2006 putting that somewhere around her “still a redhead, not yet a lesbian” phase, meaning Lindsay was still “in demand.”
TMZ has learned that now that Lindsay’s community service is almost over, she called up Lorne. The duo has had several conversations about it and they settled on March 3 as Lindsay’s hosting date.
Lindsay hopes that doing SNL will help her comeback and force people to recognize her as an actress again. No word yet, but I’m assuming SNL will probably crack jokes at Lindsay Lohan’s current state of affairs. I mean, wouldn’t “Lindsay gets kicked out of the morgue” make a hilarious sketch? Especially if Kristin Wiig plays Lindsay and Lindsay plays a dead person? Hilarity will definitely ensue.
