Girl’s still got it!
After what would appear to have been a born-again, behaved streak, Lindsay Lohan has found herself in cuffs yet again. The actress reportedly struck a pedestrian in her Porsche SUV in the early hours of Wednesday and fled the scene.
TMZ reports that the mischief went down outside the Dream Hotel in New York City where she was staying.
According to the report, Lindsay arrived at the hotel around midnight, driving a group of people. She was pulling into a parking space at a very low speed, but managed to clip a man in his 30s in the knee.
The passengers in the SUV got out to check for damage, but apparently missed the guy that was hopping around in pain…
Police were notified as Lindsay retreated into the hotel. She came back out of the hotel at 2:30 a.m. Eastern Time and was met by officers who arrested her.
Lindsay was reportedly booked for a misdemeanor of leaving the scene of an accident. She has since been released with a desk ticket, which means no bail was necessary.
The news comes as a bit of stinging irony for the actress would just slammed her Nickelodeon counterpart, Amanda Bynes, for getting off too easy with her hit-and-runs.
"Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?” she tweeted earlier this week.
While Amanda is being accused (currently) of two hit-and-runs in Los Angeles, she has yet to run down an actual person.
Lindsay’s new accomplishment adds final jab to Bynes’ criminal esteem, as if to say, “This is how you do it!”
Unlike Bynes, though, in Lindsay’s accident, it is being reported that no alcohol was involved. However, the incident could cause some drama with her jewelry theft case.
With this serving as a potential probation violation, the judge could bring LiLo back to court if there’s reasonable cause to believe she committed a crime.
Facts continue to trickle in as to what exactly went down with Lindsay Lohan's alleged hit-and-run with a pedestrian in NYC on Wednesday morning…
Her rep, Steve Honig, has released the following statement:
"While some of the facts are still being gathered, it appears that this is much ado about nothing. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue."
Since being arrested and released, Lindsay has gone on to claim that she was set up and didn't actually hit anyone.
