Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen Share 'Deep Bond,' Says Mom

And now more news from the family that simply won’t go away. No, not the Kardashians…the OTHER family that won’t go away: The Lohans…

Following the Santa Claus-esk move by Charlie Sheen to gift Lindsay Lohan a cool $100,000 to keep her out of tax trouble, it has surfaced that the two hard-living actors share an intense and “deep bond” together. This, according to Lindsay’s mom, Dina Lohan.

The news surfaces via PerezHilton, who relayed this quote from the Lohan matriarch:

“Lindsay continues to feel an immeasurable respect and love for her dear friend Charlie Sheen. They have a deep bond and she has expressed privately her sincerest gratitude to Charlie for his immense generosity on her behalf. She and I are deeply appreciative for his kindest of gestures. Charlie you are a true gentleman.”

Whether or not this statement can be taken seriously as Dina speaking on Lindsay’s behalf is hard to say, seeing as their own deep mother-daughter bond seems to vary on a day-to-day basis.

As Hollyscoop previously reported, Charlie and Lindsay apparently hit it off while sharing the screen during a brief appearance on Scary Movie 5 together.

The “Anger Management” star gifted his new bestie $100K (a portion of the $233,904 she reportedly owes in back taxes), to keep the IRS from unleashing the hounds on the teetering 26-year-old.

Up until today, LiLo had yet to thank Mr. Sheen for the kind and generous act, which he pointed out during an Entertainment Tonight appearance. But, alas—it is now being reported that Lindsay finally sent him a hand-written thank you note, as well as a flower arrangement.

She explained the delay in her appreciation with the ‘ol “my phone was totally broke and I didn’t have your number and stuff” excuse…

In other Charlie Sheen-related news, Brooke Mueller—Charlie’s ex-wife—is already out of rehab!

According to TMZ, Mueller is back on the streets as of Monday after spending just six days in a rehabilitation facility for an nasty Adderall addiction. This was her 19th trip to rehab. (Not that we’re counting.)
