The drug Lindsay Lohan tested positive for in her second drug test has been revealed.
According to TMZ, the second drug test she failed was for amphetamines.
According to its definition, Amphetamine is a psychostimulant drug that is known to produce increased wakefulness and focus in association with decreased fatigue and appetite. Amphetamine is chemically related to methamphetamine and lisdexamfetamine, a class of potent drugs that act by increasing levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, inducing euphoria.
Adderall is a brand name of a drug that contains amphetamine. Lindsay has been taking that on a consistent basis for the last few years because she was misdiagnosed with ADHD. But while in rehab, doctors determined that Lindsay doesn’t in fact have the behavioral disorder.
Sources say both tests were taken close together. Lindsay failed her cocaine test two weeks ago.
In related news, Lindsay may have seemed apologetic in a series of tweets last Friday, but just that night she was spotted at Magnolia allegedly sipping vodka-based drinks when she thought people weren’t looking.
"She looked very happy and relaxed," an eyewitness told People. Another source added, "The news about her flunked drug test definitely didn't seem to have dampened her mood. Lindsay was smiling, chatting with her friends and texting nonstop."
"She had little nibbles of food and seemed to enjoy her night out. Lindsay's friends ordered vodka-based cocktails, and Lindsay initially kept sneaking sips from their drinks.
She was aware that other dinner guests were watching her, and it seemed silly that she thought she was being sneaky and that no one would notice that she was drinking her friends' cocktails."
Such a mess. We felt bad for Lindsay for a second there, but it’s obvious this girl needs rehab more than anything—including jail.
