It’s not easy being the new girl on the cell block. Reports claim that Lindsay Lohan’s first 24 hours in jail have not been pleasant ones for her. Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley tells People that her client is extremely emotional since arriving.
“Her spirits aren’t high,” she says.
"Understandably, Lindsay's having a difficult time adjusting as it would be for anyone," Holley said. “She's trying to make the necessary adjustments to an extremely stressful and difficult situation. There were some tears."
Other reports suggest Lindsay was “cheered on” as soon as she arrived. Sources who were at the jail being released that day tell the Daily Mail, “Lindsay was crying when she came in. She was handcuffed but seemed calm. We all started saying ‘God bless you Lindsay’ and saying ‘Hi’ to her and then she smiled at us.”
Another says, “We saw her. She was nice and smiled but she'd definitely been crying. She's human, just like all of us, but she happens to be a celebrity with lots of money.”
Holley ensures the first couple days in jail “are the most difficult.”
"I just kept reminding her of that,” Holley adds. “She's doing the best she can."
We’re sure Lilo will be a lot happier when her stash of prescription meds shows up, which she’s been cleared to take while locked up.
