According to Radaronline, Lindsay had the jewelry on loan from the store from over two months ago. When she was contacted about returning them, Lindsay simply said she didn't have them.
A source says, "Lindsay claimed that they had been stolen from her safe. They've disappeared. XIV are not happy about it. The jewels were in Lindsay's care and they were only on a loaner, they were expected to be returned. If something is not resolved soon there will be legal action taken."
Michael Lohan, always one to get involved in any matter, put in his two cents, saying, "Lindsay didn't take anything from them. They lent her jewelry and she has to give it back to them. That's all I know. She has no intention of keeping any of it. So I guess they're sorting it out."
This isn’t the first time Lindsay has been involved in a jewel heist. You may remember a couple months ago, in June, Lindsay was questioned in connection with $400,000 worth of Dior jewels that suddenly went missing from her Elle photo shoot.
Lindsay was later cleared in that case, but this one sounds a little more serious, given the fact that it’s $2 million that’s missing, and Lindsay’s house was robbed earlier in the week.
Unfortunately for XIV, they probably won’t be seeing their jewelry again. This should be a lesson for anyone wanting to lend Lindsay anything of value!
