David Letterman Issues Hilarious Non-Heartfelt Apology to Lindsay

Michael Lohan called David's office and told someone that Lindsay thought his recent Grammy klepto joke was hilarious and wanted to be on the show. David's camp thought it was a great idea and immediately sent out a press release. Michael then ran the idea by Lindsay, who loved it. But, according to Michael, her publicist Leslie Sloane was against it.
Only problem is Lindsay's camp axed the plans and left Letterman hanging. Michael told Hollyscoop, "Leslie Sloane [Lindsay's publicist] ruined Lindsay's life and career. Every time I set up something positive for Lindsay, they stop it.”
So on Wednesday night David finally addressed the incident on air. "I hope I didn't embarrass you, Lindsay, or your family," he sarcastically joked.
