Uhh, pretty sure you don’t, but we’ll let you believe that you do.
Anne Hathaway is basically a model of excellence when it comes to “being a celebrity.” She’s super famous, she doesn’t get in the tabloids for doing stupid stuff, she doesn’t party publicly, she got engaged at a normal age to a normal guy, and she’s never been arrested or photographed eating a penis cake.
So when Anne Hathaway says she has anything in common with Lindsay Lohan, I can only assume she’s referring to the fact that they are both women and used to star in annoying Disney movies.
“Lindsay Lohan and I have more in common that people think,” the actress told The Sun, “We’ve all done things we shouldn’t. It is just that I did stuff at college when nobody knew about it, so I’m not a saint. I wasted time doing self-destructive things.”
You know, Anne Hathaway is right. We shouldn’t give Lindsay Lohan so much grief, because we all went through a variation of the Lindsay Lohan phase while in college. I mean, who hasn’t been arrested by campus police for indecent exposure and public intoxication at a Chipotle once or twice, am I right?
“I found you can only dance on so many table tops,” says Hathaway, “I got all that out of my system and I am healthy and grounded.”
Yes, I believe that Hollywood has a quota on how many tabletops you can truly dance on before you are considered a trainwreck. Lindsay met her quota some time around 2009.
“I try to keep my personal life low-key,” says Hathaway, “particularly after what happened to me. As I say, I do need to keep a sense of humor…I’ve been in so many embarrassing situations over the years.”
