Following a nail-biter of a near-death health scare this weekend, Lil Wayne seems to be on the mend.
After two trips to the ER for repeated seizures the Young Money mogul remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. And it appears that he’ll be staying there for the time being.
TMZ reports that the rapper’s condition isn’t strong enough to be moved out of the ICU just yet. Today marks the sixth day since Wayne was initially admitted to the hospital’s high-risk department.
Wayne has been visited by friends Drake, Chris Paul, Nicki Minaj and Birdman. The mood by his bedside is reportedly very serious.
“My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta…be home soon.YMCMB,” tweeted Birdman on Saturday.
Conflicting reports regarding Wayne’s condition have ranged from certain death to a minor inconvenience.
An update came from Young Money rapper Mack Maine, who tweeted: “Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game…thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon. #love.”
Wayne’s seizures are said to be related to his abusive use of the codeine cocktail "sizzurp."
On Friday, Weezy tweeted: “I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.”
