Yesterday afternoon, while Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s publicity teams were confirming the reports that the couple split, Liam’s older brother Chris Hemsworth was making the media rounds for his new film Rush.
The older Hemsworth couldn’t escape the spotlight shining down on his younger brother’s relationship with the “We Can’t Stop” singer.
On Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, she asked him about the media frenzy constantly surrounding the young couple. Chris explained that he hasn't really experienced what they’re going through, fortunately.
“I’m lucky,” he answered. “I’ve spoken to a few people about it. I don’t know that you can ever…It sort of is what it is. At times you’re a target and at times you’re not. If you have a film coming out or who you are dating, what have you…but, um, we’ve been lucky, my wife and I.”
In the wake of Liam and Miley’s breakup, their separate lives will only get crazier for the time being, but Chris can rest assured his will remain safe from the paparazzi.
“[My wife and I] kind of live a pretty simple boring kind of life,” Chris continued. “We’re not rolling out of clubs at four in the morning. Not to say that Liam is, by the way—well, he has once or twice!”
