The day after Leslie Carter's death, it's now being reported that the reality star and singer died of a drug overdose. According to an incident report from officials who responded to her 911 call, Carter was under the influence of several drugs before her death.
ABCNews.com obtained the report and says that the three drugs found near Leslie were: Olanzapine, used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, Cyclobenzaprine, a muscle relaxant, and Alprazolam, used to treat anxiety or panic disorders, commonly known as Xanax.
According to the report, Ginger Carter, Leslie's stepmom, told authorities that Leslie had "a long history of mental illness and was on medication for her depression." Ginger added that Leslie seemed depressed the morning of January 30 and had fallen in the shower. Ginger then helped Lindsay lie down and periodically went to check on her. Later that afternoon, she discovered that Leslie was not breathing.
"Ginger had slurred speech, pin point pupils, glassy eyes and kept falling asleep," the report says. Ginger also told officials that she herself had taken "five to six pills for her depression," possibly Xanax, and took more than her usual dose "because of Leslie passing away."
After the coroner's office receives toxicology reports in four to six weeks, an official cause of death will be determined.
Preparations for Leslie's funeral are being made, and she will be buried in western New York next week.
Aaron Carter took over his sister's Facebook page on Wednesday and posted a message saying he'd keep her memory alive:
"Hey this is aaron we are going to keep her facebook up..! i will add ppl so we keep leslie alive! we love les."
