Infamous actor/humanitarian/playboy Leo DiCaprio just put one of his many homes up for rent. Proving that in this economy, everyone could use a little more spending money.
The Trulia Luxe Living Blog has just posted the details of this beachfront home in Malibu. The house was purchased in 2002 by DiCaprio for $6 million. It boasts 2,633 square feet with a 4 bedroom main house, 2 bedroom guest house, and has a detached loft, with a gym, media room, bedroom and an office. It appears to come fully furnished which includes some really drab couches (look for yourself).
So what’s it cost to live like the embodiment of Hollywood box office gold? $75,000 a month. That is if you’re willing to sign a lease that’s at least 6 month’s long. Commitment phobics are welcomed in with a $150,000 price tag. I repeat—per month. Utilities not included.
The Malibu website that’s listing the property, Zillow, has a handy little tool that calculates a property’s actual value vs. the asking price. It lists the homes monthly value as a steal at $31,462.
So what exactly does the extra $43,538 pay for? Clearly its not the furniture…. Maybe its to be able to take your friends on a tour and say things like, “Leo and (fill-in-the-blank with the name of any hot supermodel from the last 10 years) slept here.” Priceless.
