Next month’s issue of Vogue won’t be graced by the likes of a fashion model or cookie-cutter celebrity who could have a second career as a fashion model.
According to sources over at the Daily Mail, DGAF-editor-in-chief and human polar vortex Anna Wintour is tapping "Girls" creator and star Lena Dunham to pose for the February cover.
One “well-placed magazine source” said this much about the as-of-now unconfirmed news to Radar Online: “Anna is trying to seduce Lena into bringing her next-generation audience in the Vogue brand.”
“And she’s willing to violate a lot of Vogue traditions to do it, including putting her on the cover even though she doesn’t really conform to the body type that Vogue has featured for most of its history.”
Speculation began to mount over this less “conventional” choice back in October 2013 when it was announced that the fashion editor would be hosting a dinner to honor the landmark HBO series.
Reps for Vogue wouldn’t confirm or deny the reports. “I can’t comment on rumors of future editorial,” one rep said of the publication’s policy.
