Howard Stern has never been known for his niceties or compliments, and while I thought his empire was built upon a pile of criticism, Howard is doing a rare thing by apologizing to “Girls” star and creator Lena Dunham for calling her a “little fat girl who kind of looks like Jonah Hill.”
Yah, he actually called her that.
Last week, Stern went off on Lena calling her a “camera hog” and a “little fat chick.”
Anyways, less than a week later he has apparently changed his tune and issued this apology on his radio show:
“I would like to explain myself to her on the air and apologize to her because I do love the show and it makes me feel bad that she is getting the impression that I somehow think she's just a talentless little fat chick," says Stern.
Well, she GOT that impression because you called her that. DUH.
He then went on to say that he finally liked the show, over time.
"It took me a while to get there," Stern said, "and all of the sudden I went, 'This show's really really funny. I like it.' I kind of just started liking the show. And I've done a whole 360 on the show and I really admire the girl who writes it.”
It took him “a while” to start liking the show? He insulted it just a week ago? Gah, Stern is so much bullsh*t I can’t even deal.
Anyways, Lena, the self-deprecating hero that she is, only had this to say about the diss.
“I'm a Howard Stern fan and I really think that he has earned the right to free speech and he should just go for it. But he did say something that I thought was so funny that I want to get on my gravestone, where he said, 'Congrats to her, it's so hard for little fat chicks to get anything going these days,'" says the “Girls” star.
In YO face Howard Stern!
