A report has just surfaced regarding Leighton Meester's family. According to Star Magazine, she was born while her mother was serving a federal prison sentence in Texas.

After Leighton was born, her mom was allowed to stay at a halfway house for three months. She was then raised by a relative while her mom did time for being involved in a drug ring. And it wasn't only her mom.

Leighton's dad, grandfather, and aunt were also all thrown in the slammer for the same thing. Scandalous! Those Gossip Girl plot lines have nothing on her real-life situations!
