LeAnn Rimes is under the impression that people are fascinated with her life. We guess she’s referring to that one day a couple of weeks ago when she was supposedly caught cheating on her husband with Eddie Cibrian.
We would hardly call that fascination. It just seemed a little scandalous coming from LeAnn, who we always thought of as a good girl. But LeAnn appeared on the Today show this morning and sort of tooted her own horn.
She was actually there to promote her new book
What I Cannot Change, which makes us believe even more that the alleged affair was just a publicity stunt.
She said, "I've grown up in the press my whole life. I think people are fascinated with my personal life. And I totally get it."
She also talked about growing up in the music industry, saying, "It's been tough ... to make that transition from child star to an adult, but I've been one of the very few, very small percentage that has and I’ve been very blessed that I have great fans that follow and support me."
She added, "I love what I do. I'm passionate about what I do. I get to write books like this and write songs like this and affect people's lives. And I think through the song What I Cannot Change, having touched so many people, that's what I believe I'm here to do. And it's such a blessing."
