More quotes have leaked from LeAnn Rimes’ upcoming interview with Robin Roberts for All Access Nashville, and they are gooooooood!
LeAnn basically defends her affair with Eddie Cibrian, saying, "It happens every day to so many people.”
She says the only reason people care about her cheating scandal is because she’s famous. "If I take away my album sales, my words ... you have just another couple. You had two couples whose marriages didn't work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love,” she says. “I can't change [critics'] minds. Nothing I'm going to say is going to change it. I do know that and I have accepted that."
Rimes says she doesn’t want to be defined by the affair. "What happened is not who I am, period,” she says. "But I do know how much I love him. So I've always said I don't live my life with regret. I can't."
Adds Rimes, "We're really happy in what we feel privately. We hope [that] one day, I think people will feel publicly."
Cibrian also adds, "The truth is that we're human beings," he says. "We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we're human. We fell in love.
"We're talking about something that's over a year, year and-a-half old, really, and we're still together, and we're madly in love," he goes on. "And I think people are finally seeing that, but it doesn't mean that people will accept it or the tabloids will stop trying to print lies and try to tear us apart or tear us down."
Soooo, wondering where the crying happens? Apparently LeAnn doesn’t cry about the public labeling her a homewrecker, rather she breaks down when Roberts asks her about her book What I Cannot Change, which discusses what it was like for her to grow up in the music biz.
"There's been a lot thrust on my shoulders at a very young age," she says. "I -- thank God. I don't know how I could have handled it, but I have and I'm still here. And that's -- that's saying a lot, you know?"
These two are unbelievable! And based on this interview, it’s obvious they belong together. Obviously affairs happen all the time, but that doesn’t make them right! If they just showed a little remorse for ruining their marriages because they just couldn’t live without each other, then maybe people would forgive them!
We’d love to know what they’re telling Eddie’s kids who are obviously going to find out one day why daddy suddenly left mommy…
