LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian Take 'The High Road'

Yep, she said that. See, this is what makes ex-wives flip out and think the only road to sanity is appearing on the Real Housewives.

LeAnn Rimes has admitted that her meet-cute with Eddie Cibrian isn't all that cute. Basically, he was married to Brandi Glanville at the time and left her to be with Rimes. I mean, Brandi's crazy, I get it. But he was still a married man. Couldn’t they have waited till the ink dried on the divorce papers?

In 2009, Cirian denied having an affair with Rimes, but Us Magazine then exposed a video of the pair going to dinner together, kissing, and holding hands. Yes, he was busted. But on a more positive note, he and LeAnn have a first date video!

In an interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Thursday, Rimes finally opened up about her and Eddie's romance, as well as their choice to "take the high road."

"You have to really take the high road a lot of the time when you want to stand on a mountain and scream like, why are you saying this?"

I can only imagine she's referring to Brandi publicly discussing marrying "the number one douche bag of all time." Or maybe it's her and Brandi's Twitter feud that took place back in March. The two left passive-aggressive, and sometimes just aggressive, Tweets to one another until finally, LeAnn issued a cease fire:

"As a collective unit, Brandi and I would like all negativity to cease toward one another. We have communicated and have a direct understanding that we are ONLY ourselves on Twitter and have no other accounts that try to destroy one another."

Very mature. On Ellen, LeAnn added:

"We always put his kids first. We took the kids into consideration with everything that we do. Sometimes you just want to scream. But you don't. We've learned to let it go and laugh at it, at the end of the day."

Rimes also left her husband for Cibrian. And she says the whole thing "could've been handled a lot better. But maybe we both didn't have the tools at the time to do it properly."

Tools? What is this, an Ikea bookshelf? What tools do you possibly need to just not have sex with each other?

Rimes added: "It obviously brought us to the place where we are now. And we're happy, and we're married. … I think we have both come to a really good place in our lives. And right now, I'm really at peace."

Alright, whatever. Why the hell are you so skinny?

"No, I am not [anorexic or bulimic]," Rimes said. "[The press has] been very irresponsible calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be. It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through."
