Everyday there is a new rumor that some pop star is joining the judging panel of the X-Factor. Heck, there was even a rumor that Simon wanted to cancel the show altogether.
However, Eddie Cibrian has confirmed to “Extra” that his wife LeAnn Rimes is actually taking meetings and is very seriously “in talks” about joining the show.
“They’ve been talking,” says Cibrian, “I have no idea what’s going on with that. I think they’ve been talking to a lot of people.”
This is the only confirmed account we have so far. I mean, there were rumors that Stacy Keibler was going to be a host or a judge. Rigghhht. Like The X Factor would hire a trophy girlfriend with no musical talents. Who’s next? Kris Jenner, Charlie Sheen’s former goddess, and Katy Perry’s parents?
Anyways, Cibrian continues about LeAnn, “I think she would be unbelievable on a show like that…As a mentor, which is key for that show ‘The X Factor,’ I think she has a lot of great input and actually could help these people out…Plus, she can sing.”
It was last reported on March 7 that Rimes was seen meeting with the show execs, but we took it with a grain of salt. Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, and Adele were just some of the names that were thrown into the mix, but Cibrian is the first person to confirm that Rimes was taking a meeting.
Hey, Cibrian is out of work, right? How about he just tweet on behalf of The X Factor and let us know what’s going on with the show? Great idea, kay thanks bye.
