One of the longest-running television series has just been canceled! According to Deadline.com, NBC has made the decision to cancel Law & Order after 20 seasons on the air.
This comes as a shock since NBC execs recently alluded to bringing the show back for another season. But they decided in the end to keep the multiple spin-offs, including a new one that will come next year called Law & Order: Los Angeles.
The reason for the non-renewal was reportedly contingent on NBC getting a commitment from TNT to keep airing reruns in syndication. The show’s ratings have also dropped.
The good thing is that at any time of the day you can pretty much flick your remote and find some version of L&O! R.I.P!
