Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Law & Order loves to base their plot lines off of real life current news stories. That’s why it doesn’t surprise us that the Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin story is being turned into an episode of the show.

The October 16th episode, entitled Reality Bites, will be about a reality show called Larry Plus 10, about a single dad raising 10 adopted special needs children by himself after his wife, Joy, is killed.

The New York Post describes the plot: "Detectives Lupo and Bernard (Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson) grow suspicious when it's revealed that Joy Johnson wasn't totally on board with doing the show -- she feared for her kids' privacy -- and that Larry, a real estate developer deeply in debt, signed the lucrative Larry Plus 10 contract the day after his wife's murder."

There's also a character named Belinda Alvarez who resembles Nadya Suleman, who has 10 kids via in-vitro fertilization, and is competing with the Johnsons to get the show.

Sounds all too familiar! Let’s just hope life doesn’t imitate art in this case!

It's a case of the deadbeat dad on the new 90210. Despite the reveal that Dylan McKay is the father of Kelly's son on Tuesday night's episode, Luke Perry says he will not be appearing on the show.

Instead, Perry will join the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to play a different kind of horrible parent: one suspected of child abuse.

Perry responded to questions about 90210 at a press conference this morning, and didn't seem too happy with the fact that reporters were more interested in the show he's not appearing on, than the one he's going to be on.

Reporter: Now, the most recent 90210 episode had a reference to Dylan, does that mean that we'll see you there soon?
L.P.: They own the name and likeness.
Reporter: That's a yes or no?
L.P.: That would be a no.

Luke does have his reasons for turning down the role that CW producers have reportedly begged him to take. In addition to Law & Order, he'll also be appearing on Criminal Minds this season.
It makes us very sad to report that we are losing a cast member from Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The bright side is as we lose one, we are gaining another great talent.

Chris Noth will not be returning for the 8th season of Law & Order: CI but someone that will be fresh to the series is Jeff Goldblum.

Being an avid Law & Order fan this makes us very sad. But then again, wasn't it sorta weird watching Mr. Big as a detective?
