Lauren Conrad Talks About Life After The Hills

The Hills looks more and more like it’s going to end after this season. And while Whitney Port has moved across the country for her own show, and Audrina Patridge is attached to star in her own series, we’re left wondering what will happen to Lauren Conrad.

Lauren is the glue that holds the whole show together. And with news of her clothing line being put on hiatus for year, what’s a girl to do with her time?

Certainly not find another one of those “real world” jobs! Lauren just talked with Entertainment Weekly about this ending of an era and what’s up next.

She tells them, "I actually thought last season was going to be my last. But the producers wanted to hopefully give the show some sort of closure and needed one more season."

So it doesn’t look like this season will be quite as dramatic as the last few. Lauren says, “I didn't have that much conflict in my life over the last few months. I think I only cry in one episode." We love how ratings for that show are directly related to her tears.

Lauren says that after the show wraps, she’ll be focusing on her young adult book series that’s based loosely on her Hills experience. Her first one, LA Candy, comes out in June. Lauren also says she’s interested in producing.

She says, "We've been taking a lot of meetings lately. I don't know exactly where I want to go, but I've looked into producing because I've always found that so interesting."

As for the rest of the cast members, we’re sure they’ll all eventually finagle their own shows, just like Audrina has. Lauren thinks hers will be a hit, saying, "To be honest, I really haven't heard that much about it. She has a pretty interesting life. She's a really cool girl. She's fun to watch."

Tune in April 6th for the premiere of The Hills on MTV.

Lauren was pretty much the only one who stayed true to her character. Never really swaying from who she has been from the very beginning besides growing up. I don't think she ever imagined how many people would find her life as interesting as they have. She should be proud. Sure there are the haters out there that you will find in any fan base.... The thing is that Lauren never claimed to be a "star" and never wanted it. She just climbed on the band wagon when it came her way. Who wouldn't? So now I am happy for her that she has made it. She can pick and choose what she wants to do. I love that she wants to write! I wish her all of the success. God bless her as she turns the page!
