Lauren Conrad: I’m Single and 'Having Fun'

Lauren Conrad can’t go to dinner without us trying to hook her up with someone. Conrad broke up with her boyfriend of three years back in June, and we just can’t accept that someone so fabulous can be so single. But Lauren confirms with Hollyscoop, she’s flying solo, and sorry guys, she’s not looking for a relationship.

“I’m newly single, and I plan on being that way for some time,” Conrad told Hollyscoop. “Having fun.”

Most recently, Lauren has been linked to Dancing With the Stars’ Derek Hough, and the two had dinner Sunday night. But we heard it straight from the source—there’s nothing there.

We caught up with The Hills star turned author at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Los Angeles event at Will Rogers State Historic Park in Los Angeles. Conrad was there with her reality TV BFF, Lo Bosworth.

“I'm excited to attend the polo match with my best friend and meet guys,” Lauren told us.

But just because she plans on staying single doesn’t mean she can’t look. When we pointed out the eye candy at the event, Lauren responded:

“Good to know. That’s what we’re counting on.”

Lauren and Derek were rumored to have started dating in September. The two hit up L.A.’s Sayers Club and were “very flirty,” according to an eyewitness.

“They were dancing and holding hands!” the witness added.

"It hasn't been easy moving on, but Derek has been sweet," a friend revealed. "They are having fun and seeing where it goes."

Then, over the weekend, the two were spotted at Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel, where she chatted with Derek and appeared to brush his hair and overall, act a little flirty. It just fueled the rumors even more. But along with Lauren, Derek has also denied that the two are in a relationship . And to be fair, Lauren was also chatting with Mark Ballas at the Roosevelt. So it might actually be possible that guys and girls can talk to each other without being in a relationship. Weird, I know.

There was another rumor that Lauren told us simply wasn’t true. Reports of a big-screen version of The Hills have been swirling for a while now. But Conrad tells Hollyscoop a Hills movie just isn’t happening.
