Biography
Lauren Conrad was born to the parents of James and Katherine Conrad. She has two younger siblings, Breanna Christine Conrad and Brandon James Conrad. Lauren lived with her parents in Laguna Beach throughout her childhood and high school years. During her senior year and Laguna Beach High School, MTV began to film Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. MTV was to follow the lives of Conrad including seven other Laguna Beach teens. The show made Lauren an overnight celebrity.

After graduation, she intended Academy of Art University in San Francisco to major in Fashion Design. Her interest in fashion design began at a very young age, when her neighbor taught her how to draw and make clothes for her Barbie. Here she met Heidi Montag at a freshman orientation. After one semester, Conrad left the University and moved back to her parents’ house. She then transferred to Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She began interning at Three Dots clothing line in early 2005.

In the summer of 2005, she moved into a Los Angeles apartment with Heidi Montag. She continued her studies at FIDM and started an internship at Teen Vogue. This led MTV to film her new reality series The Hills. MTV renewed The Hills for the second season, which filmed from 2006 through February of 2007. Throughout this period, Conrad’s and Montag’s friendship deteriorated due to Montag’s boyfriends Spencer Pratt. Costar Audrina Patridge replaced Montag as Conrad’s roommate after Montag moved in with Spencer.

In 2007, rumors sprung in Hollywood about a sex tape between Lauren and ex-boyfriend Jason Wahler. Rumor had it that Wahler was planning to sell a sex tape he supposedly made with Conrad when they were a couple. Conrad later stated that the rumor was false and there is no existence of the tape. She also blamed Heidi and Spencer for the rumors.

In January 2007, Conrad was named as the official spokesperson for Avon’s new line “mark”. She received two Teen Choice Awards in 2006 and 2007. She has also been featured on the cover of Teen Vogue, Seventeen, and Cosmo Girl magazines.

A lot of celebrities write books. Actually, too many of them. Nobody wants to read “Hooking Up with Tila Tequila” by Tila Tequila. The market is a little oversaturated right now.

That being said. There are some excellent celebrity books, like Tina Fey’s “Bossy Pants” and Alicia Silverstone’s “The Kind Diet” and then there are other celeb books that aren’t so great, like “Elixir” by Hilary Duff, but are somehow incredibly popular.

So here they are, the most successful celebrity “authors” ever. I put that in air quotes, because c’mon, nobody wants to be know as an “author” when you can be labeled a “celebrity.”

Lauren Conrad: Conrad is such a successful author she has 4 books! That’s four more than Audrina Patridge has got. Lauren wrote a trilogy of books called the “LA Candy” series, which follows the life of Jane Roberts who moves to LA for a fashion internship and ends up starring on a reality show! Gasp, this is NOTHING like the “The Hills.”
Some of us are more concerned with Lauren Conrad's dating life than our own. I'm not sure why we keep wanting to hook her up, but we do. And at this time, it appears she's been spending some quality time with Glee star Cory Monteith.

Lauren was out at Beacher's Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood on Saturday. Monteith was there, too, and he and Lauren were apparently "very flirty" with each other, and at one point, she appeared to give the actor her number, according to People.

Conrad donned a black tank top, skirt, blazer and Chanel bag, had some cocktails with friends and danced in her seat. She closed up the night sipping on champagne and stayed until the club closed.

I always got The Hills mixed up with Gossip Girl anyway, so I guess this makes sense.

Lauren Conrad is enjoying single life. She was first linked to Dancing with the Stars coach Derek Hough, but it looks like she's already moved on.

According to the latest issue of Us Weekly, a source caught Conrad "making out" with Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford on October 29. It's a little scary that they know the exact date.

Conrad and her reported new fling started off the night flirting at L.A.'s Voyeaur nightclub, and from there, they kicked it up a notch at actor Shawn Pyfrom's house. I'm assuming there was a party there, and they just didn’t show up to the dude's place, wake him up, and ask if they could use his living room to make out.

Lauren Conrad can’t go to dinner without us trying to hook her up with someone. Conrad broke up with her boyfriend of three years back in June, and we just can’t accept that someone so fabulous can be so single. But Lauren confirms with Hollyscoop, she’s flying solo, and sorry guys, she’s not looking for a relationship.

“I’m newly single, and I plan on being that way for some time,” Conrad told Hollyscoop. “Having fun.”

Most recently, Lauren has been linked to Dancing With the Stars’ Derek Hough, and the two had dinner Sunday night. But we heard it straight from the source—there’s nothing there.
For a couple million bucks, you can buy a celebrity—the house that was featured on The Hills. Drama not included!

Lauren Conrad has put her 3,009 square foot Spanish-style home on the market. It has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool, breakfast bar and detached guesthouse.

Among its famous dwellers include Audrina Patridge, who lived in the guesthouse during one season of The Hills.

The kitchen is a spacious, country-style design with doors that lead to the backyard. The rest of the house boasts gorgeous canyon views. Lauren is selling the pad for $2.25 million, but she bought it for $2.36, so she's taking a bit of a hit on it.

Audrina Patridge still thinks she's an actress. Awww. That was like when she pretended to be a receptionist on "The Hills." Double Awww.

Not only that, she wants to make a movie version of the "The Hills."

This is surprising as Audrina said she was sick of the other cast members when the show ended in 2010.

However, now she's changed her tune and telling Ryan Seacrest, "We were kind of all just fed up with each other that we all needed a little break, so now we've all had our break maybe we'll all come back together and do a movie, you never know."

Some of the richest people in television are the ones that don’t do anything. I’m talking about the stars of reality television.

The Osbourne family was arguably the first really popular reality show, and even back in 2002 the dysfunctional family was making $5 Million per person per episode during season 2. That’s 1,000 times what they were paid during the first season! And they were already rich to start with!

For Season 4 of “Jersey Shore” the cast members are all making $100,000 per episode...

Lauren Conrad and boyfriend of 3 years, Kyle Howard called it quits last week because Howard wasn’t okay with Conrad’s reality TV career.

Because Howard is a real TV actor, he thought Lauren’s unscripted career was harming his own. “[Howard] saw the relationship as distracting from his goal of being the next Robert De Niro. He wasn’t supportive of her career.”

You know what’s also keeping you from your goal of being the next Robert De Niro?...

Raise your hands if you forgot that Lauren Conrad was dating someone (points at self) This girl!!

Lauren Conrad and boyfriend Kyle Howard split. Conrad had been dating the My Boys actor since 2008. A three-year relationship for a reality TV star is actually really legitimate, I feel kind of bad they broke up...
Along with three headlines on Allure Magazine’s May cover (“Look Better Naked”, “Blast Your Belly Fat” and “Scary Skinny”), is something every gal can understand—Lauren Conrad.

Like every woman, Conrad doesn’t think she’s all that sexy and believes she has “a hundred” bad angles.

“I've never been the sexy girl. Whenever I've had a boyfriend, he's always been like, 'Oh, you're cute.'"

Conrad continues, saying it’s embarrassing when the media points out weight gain.

“I've seen photos of myself and cringed, 'Oh, God, I can never wear those pants again!'"

She might’ve starred in a show that was somewhat unrelatable, but I think every woman knows the feeling of catching a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, noticing your giant butt, and cursing your pants.

Conrad has developed her own fashion fix for that problem: “If I'm shopping and I see paparazzi, my bag goes directly to my thighs," she says.

Conrad might not think she’s the sexiest woman alive, but she’s not planning on going Heidi Montag on us anytime soon.

"I saw the magazine just like everybody else," Conrad said. "I don't think this is a happy story at all, there's just no right answer there."
