Lance Bass is the spokesman for a campaign called the Day of Silence, which will occur on April 25th.
The event encourages students to take a vow of silence in protest of intolerance. In the PSA, Lance explains that there are thousands of students that are scared of being who they really want to be because they fear being rejected and humiliated by fellow students.
This year's Day of Silence is dedicated to the memory of fifteen-year-old Lawrence King, a gay high school student from Oxnard, Calif., who was shot and killed by a male classmate as he sat in computer class in February. Click here to learn more of what Lance has to say.
