Following a report that Khloe Kardashian told Lamar Odom she’ll be filing for divorce, the NBA champion has been trying to quickly clean up his act to win her back.
The Clippers star says he’s sober—he claims he has been for the past five days—and that he didn’t even need rehab to do it.
Sources told TMZ that Lamar is displaying what he calls “self-healing.” He claims that all he needs is his emotional strength and willpower to kick his addition to crack cocaine.
This substance abuse drama has been years in the making and Lamar says he’s been able to quit successfully before and that he’ll do it again.
In addition to not doing drugs, he’s also not engaging with certain people, removing “friends” and enablers from his social circle who could be detrimental towards his efforts to get clean.
He’s open to receiving professional help, but he’s yet to commit to a program.
Not only is he doing this to salvage his marriage to Khloe, but it's also worth mentioning that training camp has just started for the upcoming NBA season. Friends are saying his career is also motivation for him to get his life back on track—and not on crack.
