That’s a real headline. Not a joke cut from a “Saturday Night Live” sketch circa 2008. Lady Gaga is prepping to be the first musician to perform in her natural habitat—deep space—in early 2015, Us Weekly is reporting.
According to a source close to the singer, Gaga will take to the outer limits of our stratosphere in a Virgin Galactic ship and sing a track during the Zero G Colony high-tech music festival, which according to our intense and thorough research (Google) will take place at the Spaceport America in New Mexico.
“She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere,” a source said of the 27-year-old’s ambitions to make history by performing nowhere near this world.
The source also added that the performer’s most critical team (her hair, makeup, and costume squad) will also join her in space.
The launch will take place on the final day of the festival at dawn, six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial flight, which has a flight manifest that includes star-studded passengers such as Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Let the countdown begin now…
