Lady Gaga is famous for being edgy, over-the-top and inappropriate, but the pop singer is more matronly than you might think.
Gaga sat down with Oprah, taking off her prosthetic horns and sunglasses, because, well, Oprah would’ve probably b-tch slapped her if she showed up in that sh-t. But Lady G talked to Lady O about her plans for a big family, saying she wants “a soccer team” of children.
“I want kids, I want a soccer team, and I want a husband…” Gaga said.
There was then a lot of polite nodding and “mmhmms.” It was like, during the whole interview, Oprah was thinking, “should’ve stayed on daytime TV.”
"Yeah, yeah, I do,” Gaga continued. I mean I'm being superfluous [about the soccer team], but I don't want to have one kid, I want a few. I want to experience that." Gaga added that she does want to get married someday, but "not yet."
Gaga also revealed that, after this interview, she’s taking a vow of silence after it airs on Sunday.
"Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about,' I shut it all off.”
Most of Gaga’s special was filmed in New York City, but part of it was also filmed at Harvard last month, when Oprah helped to launch Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
"I just have one thing to say before we get started,” Lady Gaga said during the launch. “We got Oprah! ... Thank you from all of us — from my entire team, from my mother, from the bottom of the hearts of so many people who believe in what we're doing today.”
