Sad news in the world of meat dresses and hit singles… Lady Gaga has been hospitalized for surgery.
On Wednesday, Gaga addressed her little monsters prior to going under the knife. A message on her website reads:
“Going in for surgery now. Thank you so much for sending me love and support I will be dreaming of you.”
The same message was posted on her Twitter account.
Fans have been tweeting at the singer with their concerns ever since learning about her diagnosis of synovitis, a painful condition affecting the joints, which she hid from her management until earlier this month.
It was previously announced that Gaga had to undergo an emergency surgery procedure.
The surgery will require a bit of downtime following its completion, forcing the performer to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball that began in April of 2012. The tour was scheduled to wrap in Tulsa, OK, on March 20, 2013.
In addition to sharing a photo of her wheelchair, which she named Emma, the singer has been keeping fans posted throughout the process.
“I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now,” she tweeted last week. “I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500% again, which is what you deserve.”
