Earlier this week, Lady Gaga dropped a huge bomb on her Little Monsters social networking site. She posted a message claiming that her latest album Artpop didn’t do as well as everyone hoped because she was “mismanaged” and “betrayed” by her management team.
Basically, her new album's chart performance isn’t as impressive as her other albums and Gaga blames it on her management and creative team.
But it turns out that might not be the truth and Gaga’s just looking for excuses to blame for her album flopping.
“She’s really depressed and upset that her album didn’t do well,” a source close to Gaga told Hollyscoop. “She’s telling friends she’s completely devastated about the poor album sales.”
It appears as though Gaga’s looking for anyone to blame, as evidenced by her latest post.
Gaga wrote: “I was given a week to plan and execute the [“Do What You Want” video]. Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problem that ensued as a result…Those who did not care about Artpop’s success are now gone…I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most.”
To put things into perspective, Artpop sold fewer copies in its opening week than Beyoncé, Katy Perry or Miley Cyrus. Years ago, Gaga would have topped all those other divas.
We wonder if anything Gaga wrote on her blog was accurate or just an excuse to make sense of the poor album sales?
