The numbers are in from last night’s Grammy Awards, and they are huge! The 52nd annual show was the highest-rated telecast since 2004. A whopping 25.8 million viewers tuned in to see Beyonce and Taylor Swift win a total of ten awards, amongst others.
CBS went above and beyond to reach out to every demographic they could, pairing Lady Gaga with Elton John, Taylor Swift with Stevie Nicks, and Mary J. Blige with Andrea Bocelli. Another memorable moment from the show was the 3D Michael Jackson tribute featuring Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Usher, Smokey Robinson, and Carrie Underwood.
Michael’s children Paris and Prince Michael even took the stage to pay tribute to their late father. Prince had a lot of composure as he addressed the crowd, saying how proud he and his siblings were of their dad.
