On Simon's decision to bring back Melani Amaro:
"I was very happy though that Simon did go back and rethink Melanie from Miami. I thought she was really fantastic in the auditions. I think so far it's working out for the better....[but] I don't know if it means that we will end up cutting two in the first episode."

“We’re gonna compete against American Idol just fine,” Reid said. “I’m very confident. But along with Simon Cowell and Cheryl, I don’t know who the other judge is.”
I’m not sure why this show is having such a hard time getting a panel together, but it seems like no one wants to be a part of it. They might have to resort to finding someone via craigslist at this point.
Snoop Dogg revealed that he turned down an offer to be a judge on the show.
Snoop said, “they asked me to do that, but I don’t think that’s for me.”
Probably because it involves being awake for more than an hour.

Island Def Jam’s chairman, Antonio “L.A.” Reid will be one of four judges on the show, and that “it’s a done deal.”
An official announcement is expected to be made soon.
It’s about damn time, because auditions begin at the end of the month.
At this point, if Cowell hasn’t filled the other slots, I'd just rename the show “American Idol” and ask Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler if they’re down.
And when Randy Jackson gets his feelings hurt, just explain to him that we already have a cool guy with glasses.
