Last night Sir Elton John had one of his many lavish parties to help raise money for his Aids foundation.
John was left disappointed when Aussie singer Kylie Minogue called him last minute to cancel. He ended up taking the stage to perform in her place.
A source said: “Elton doesn’t usually perform at his own parties but he wasn’t upset.
“Kylie was extremely apologetic. After her cancer scare she isn’t taking any risks.”
Kylie Minogue has been photographed all over Europe on holiday, most recently in Italy and Paris.
As the old saying goes, 'the show must go on,' and it did! The Las Vegas-themed "White Tie and Tiara Ball" featured a charity auction for the star’s Aids foundation — with a Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe among the lots.
Among other guests at Elton John's home in Windsor, Berks were Elle Macpherson, Naomi Campbell, and Hugh Grant.
