Kylie Jenner’s words: “I don’t remember how it was before [I was famous] because I was nine when this all started. So it’s kind of like I grew up into it. It’s kind of like I don’t know any different.”
In an interview with Us Weekly, Kylie single-handedly showed how coming-of-age on the Kardashian-sized kontinent (her family) is uniquely different from your own upbringing. Where most generation-spanning siblings pass down sweaters, shoes, and other second-hand clothing, the Kardashians pass down fame.
The 16-year-old knows she lives in a bubble. She’s been filming the popular E! reality show with her family since 2007 and it’s led to many opportunities—“It’s brought me such great things. I’m so grateful for everything,” she said—not typically afforded your average teen. For instance, a collaboration with Pac Sun.
“We’re [Kylie and Kendall Jenner] are still working on our Pac Sun line,” Kylie said. “We have a jewelry line at Nordstrom and we’re coming out with a book that we’re really excited about.”
Still a few years away from being an official adult, Kylie has already set her sights on breaking off slightly from her family. “I would love to in the future maybe create my own line,” she continued, “and branch away from Kendall and continue Pac Sun. Try acting or something. I have no clue.”
