She ain’t down for the count just yet.
“The Good Wife” fans can breathe a sigh of relief with proof that Kristin Chenoweth is back on her feet after a scary accident on set that left the actress in a neck brace. Chenoweth was snapped today in New York City getting into her car after a doctor’s appointment.
In the photos, she wears a black and yellow-lined tracksuit, a navy baseball hat, and a pair of running shoes. But, judging by the thick, padded neck brace keeping her head in place, she won’t be doing much real running anytime soon.
A male friend escorted Kristin from the appointment to the car.
On July 12, it was reported that the actress had been rushed to the Bellevue hospital after being knocked out on “The Good Wife” set. Sadly, it has since been made clear that she will not be returning to film for the series when she issued the following statement earlier this week:
“It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time. Getting better slowly and thank you everyone for your concern.”
According to witnesses of the accident, a strong gust of wind knocked over a lighting rig, which fell onto Kristin’s head.
Though her publicist Jill Fritzo issued a statement at the time of the incident that she was out of the hospital and “home recovering,” she has yet to be seen in public.
Kristin has suffered from multiple on the job injuries in the past, including a neck injury during a performance of Wicked in 2003, falling off a Broadway stage during The Apple Tree in 2006, and a back injury filming for “Glee” in 2011.
Glad to see you’re up, Kristin… Get well soon!
