UPDATE: In a statement to Hollyscoop, Kristin's publicist Jill Fritzo says, "Kristin has been released from the hospital and is home recovering. She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes."
Actress Kristin Chenoweth was knocked out on the set of "The Good Wife," then rushed to Bellevue hospital in a neck brace.
TMZ has the details on the unfortunate chain of events that resulted in the actresses’ injuries Wednesday afternoon on the CBS show's Brooklyn set.
Apparently a strong gust of wind caused the collapse of some lighting equipment that fell squarely on Chenoweth’s noggin. She then dropped to the ground and hit her head on the concrete.
She appeared to be immediately unconscious.
Of the incident one witness said, “I thought she was dead at first."
Paramedics treated her on the set, fitting her with a neck brace and laying her out on a stretcher before she was taken away via ambulance.
As dramatic as the whole scene was, a rep for the New York Fire Dept. disclosed that Kristin was being treated only for "minor injuries."
But judging from the list of injuries TMZ is reporting that the actress has suffered as a result of her work (a neck injury during “Wicked” in 2003, falling off the Broadway stage of “The Apple Tree” in 2006, and jacking up her back after falling down some concrete stairs in 2011 on the set of “Glee”), she’s no stranger to “minor injuries.”
We are certainly glad to hear that she’s going to be ok after this most recent incident, as things could have obviously been much worse.
