Say it aint so! Without Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis, SNL will just be a show full of what’s-his-face and that-other-guy. Seriously, name one other cast member on SNL besides Seth Myers? Exactly.
Sources tell US Weekly that those three key SNL players are ready to move on to bigger and better things.
“Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis are all leaving after the end of the season. It will be a huge blow to the show. Without Andy’s video shorts and Kristen saving every skit, they’ll need help!”
Andy and Jason’s careers are blowing up and Kristen is getting nominated for Oscars now, so they really don’t “need” SNL anymore.
A rep for Wiig and Sudeikis only responded, “No decisions are made until the season is over.”
How’s that for a non-answer?
However, a friend close to Wiig says she’s been thinking about leaving ever since the success of “Bridesmaids.”
“Kristen was talking about leaving a while ago,” says a source, “With her movie success, it’s no surprise.”
Well, Andy hasn’t been making many “digital shorts” this season to begin with. Sudeikis only appears on the show to make fun of Mitt Romney anymore. And Wiig, well, she’s still going strong.
However, there were rumors that Wiig has been wanting to leave the show since October.
