Before Blake Lively and Emma Stone, there was Molly Ringwald.
The redheaded actress was known to melt hearts during her sweetheart run in the 80's with films like Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club. She even nickname’s herself “your former teen-age crush” on her Twitter profile.
Newsflash, readers. Ringwald is 44 now and still looking pretty good.
So what’s her beauty secret?
“I drink the blood of Kristen Stewart,” Ringwald told Reddit users during an “Ask Me Anything” session.
Hopefully she’s kidding. But, if it is true, it’s certainly working.
Reddit’s Q & A session featured a list of questions from fans about her acting career and her life behind the scenes. Aside from the whole vampire comment, the question on people’s minds was the truth behind Breakfast Club’s infamous “lipstick trick.”
“John Hughes wrote it but never actually thought about me having to do it,” Ringwald said. “I kept bringing it up, like, ‘Hey. We gotta figure this out. Are we going to have robotic breasts?’”
Ringwald ended up crediting the skill to “movie magic.” (For the guys out there urging your girlfriends to learn the trick, you can pretend you didn’t hear that.)
Throughout the Q & A, Ringwald maintained a vibrant sense of humor. She also shared some love for her two-year old twin children and her husband Panio Gianopoulos who is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
“He can break boards with his butt,” said Ringwald. “Just bragging.”
You can catch the still hot Molly Ringwald as Anne Juergens on ABC Family’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” Mondays at 8/7c.
