Like a vampire rising from her coffin, Kristen Stewart will resurrect herself from the depths of Twihard shame.
After being slammed by tabloids and fans alike, the actress who became immortal through her role as Bella in the Twilight franchise is preparing to step back into the spotlight after her recent cheating scandal. Rumors that she will be making an appearance next month at the Toronto International Film Festival are true.
Hollyscoop has confirmed that Stewart plans to board a plane pointed east in order to promote her new film On the Road. TIFF has given the feature film a special screening sometime in September.
On the Road, which Stewart stars in alongside Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Garrett Hedlund, and Steve Buscemi, is adapted from Jack Kerouac’s 1951 autobiographic novel about a drug-infused cross-country trip. The film is directed by Walter Salles.
An official date of the screening and Kristen’s appearance is reportedly expected via announcement on August 21.
If Kristen’s Toronto re-emergence happens prior to September 6, it would be her first public appearance since news broke about her cheating shenanigans with Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. She was scheduled to appear with her estranged boyfriend Rob Pattinson on that date at the MTV Music Awards to promote the fourth and final Twilight film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, arriving in theaters this November.
No word yet on whether this appearance is still happening…
Since the relationship woes, Rob has been the first to publicly show his face to cameras, this week appearing on both “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “Good Morning America” in order to showcase his new movie, Cosmopolis.
