The vampire vixen has gone fashion model… And the girl is owning it!
Kristen Stewart is ready for the runaway, or at least a contract with Chanel. In a recent photo spread featured in V Magazine—an outlet famous for showcasing women at their finest—the actress poses like a pro.
A polished and confident Stewart puts on a cover girl pout and shines in a range of high-end garb, ranging in designer names from Calvin Klein to Nicolas Ghesquière to Victoria Beckham.
The extended feature is brought to you by the fashion-based mind of Joe McKenna, and the photographic vision of Inez and Vinoodh, whom she credits for the photoshoot’s success.
“When you find yourself with people like that, you can really thrive,” says Stewart. “It was fun. I would follow them wherever they wanted to go. I had a really good time that day, I was kind of shocked by that.”
In the accompanying article Kristen talks at length about her new role as Marylou in the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s beat classic, On the Road, an undertaking that she summarizes as “a f--king amazing experience.”
“I would have done anything, I would have played any part,” she says. “Marylou is remarkable because she’s got a tough core.”
In addition to offering a well-deserved nod to fellow blockbuster babes Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, and her The Runaways costar, Dakota Fanning, Kristen feels that she is at the strongest point in her life, both professionally and emotionally.
“I have realized that you can close yourself off to life if you put walls up, but it’s a difficult thing,” she says. “I’ve gotten quite comfortable with just being unafraid. I keep saying the same thing: it’s not about being fearless but really just embracing the fears and using them.”
And, with this shamelessly awesome photographic oeuvre as proof, it seems that the best of KStew is still to come.
