This just in: Reality TV is fake!
Kristin Cavallari is speaking up about the behind-the-scenes mischief that went on during production of “The Hills” in order to portray mistruths…again.
During a recent appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen questioned the reality starlet about how much of a fraud the show was.
“So Kristin… how fake was ‘The Hills’?” asked Cohen.
“Pretty fake,” she answered without hesitation, adding, “fake relationships, fake fights.”
Kristin continued, sayings that it was “fun” because it was more like playing the part in her own fabricated made-for-TV-movie.
“The thing is, as you saw on the end — what's real and what's fake, you don't know,” she added.
This, of course, confirms absolutely NOTHING more than what we already knew. Not convinced? Here are three more throbbing reasons NOT to buy into the reality shenanigans:
1. In February of 2011, Kristin told Access Hollywood that the show filmed for three days a week for “The Hills” and “Laguna Beach," where the cast was fed lines and would change clothes to make it look like the show was shot over a longer period of time.
2. Previously, in an interview with People magazine, the same reality starlet revealed that “nothing you see on TV is real.”
3. And, years ago, as in back when “The Hills” was still actually on the air, Kristen told Hollyscoop more or less the same exact thing.
When asked whether her and Lauren Conrad's apart feud as shown on screen was real, Kristin denied it and blamed the same kind of reality TV magic.
“Everyone's like, ‘Oh I thought you guys hated each other, no, Lauren and I have been cool for a very long time,’” Kristin told HS. “We had drama on a TV show for TV purposes … We’re totally cool with each other.”
