Earlier this week we reported that Kirsten Dunst had checked into rehab at Cirque Lodge Clinic in Park City, Utah for a 'substance abuse' problem. The news came as a shock to a lot of people, but her close friends apparently saw it coming for months. Her publicist may claim that Dunst is doing 'fine,' but sources close to the actress insist she's at a breaking point.
"She's not doing well," a source close to Dunst told People magazine.
"People were pushing her to go in there, but there was no intervention. ... She has been partying hard for a while, and I'm sure the Heath Ledger thing put people over the edge."
Dunst was reportedly sobbing uncontrollably and acting strangely when she checked into Cirque, Star magazine reported. "She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic," the source continued. "She was extremely emotional."
Dunst eventually went to rehab against her will, so let's hope she finds the help she desperately needs. She's a really talented actress, and it would be a shame if that went to waste.
